Hey you, it's been so long. i've got leave for about a week now, followed by christmas and new year. life couldn't be better, you get this festive mood in camp, half of the personnel are on leave or off, and everybody is just really relaxed? army life is quite cool now, i've awesome people to work with, outfields once in awhile ( 3day 2 night, i like), and random stuff to pre-occupy me. i'm not contained in my camp anymore, and it no longer feels like a prison cell like bmt and sispec. there freedom only lasts the weekend. being able to leave here and there just removes the trapped feeling. it's just like working, an 8-5 job . hence i need to do a friend check of who stays in yishun cause i'm too lazy to travel far. comparing to my previous employment when i was in sec, 8 hours at macs= 3.50x8=28, one day of army work=30. omg i'm paid more here keke .
Now that i'm no longer training, and have the luxury of time, i'm starting to think about other stuff. lately, i'm quite bothered by the fact that i'm not in uni. after 10 months in here i still feel like my life has done a time stop, and i'm not working towards anything. few months back, my mind was pre-occupied with my chevrons, now that i have them, i want to have some targets outside of army. one thing i'll definitely do next year is learn how to drive, i've been putting it off way too long because weekends were really precious in the past. just want to make use of my two years left to uni, to learn new stuff, play sunday league, do things i may not have the time to do when i go to uni. then again, my toilet cubicle in camp has a poster " you cannot find time, you must make it"
hence i made time to go on a cruise, tmr to friday, my first time, something i can take of my list

Three more weeks till i pass out, two field camp exercises in the next two weeks, AR+ERWD tests in the last week
and my pay will bump up to 800++
i've spent 13 or so weeks in the airforce so far, running back and forth between aftc and chong pang camp
in scs, everyone was really selfish, everyone trying to push things to each other
and my section of 16 had 4 act blur live longer type and more than half plotting to get themselves out of aslc
like c'mon la guys, if you can get your gold and pass your soc, where's the pride in giving some half fuck attitude just to avoid infantry
like wtf, does nobody have any pride nowadays
so i ended up getting pissed off often when i was in pasir leba
anyway back to airforce!
let me recap the past weeks for everyone!
week 1: airman orientation program held at aftc
- stay out
- listen to lectures about the airforce
-blah nothing much really boring week, i wanted to run into the jungle with my lbv
week 2-4: basic ADSS course
- stay in at aftc
- learn air defence knowledge and aircraft recognition
- really really boring, three weeks to study for two tests -.-
week 5-13: guns ADSS course
The most meaningful 8 weeks i've spent in the army. Everyday is spent training in the hanger of my squadron, learning how to operate the system, which is so freaking complicated. It's this time we spend in the hanger that makes us really bonded. Everyday we talk cock and sing songs while training. My 3SG regular on course keeps singing chinese songs which are so old i have never heard of them before. When we go back to aftc, they all sing karaoke in the mess ahahahaha damn hilarious. Our warrants are nice people, always talking crap with us. We can just sit down and tell lame jokes all afternoon. Now that we're done learning everything, we're heading out for our summary exercises which should be fun
ohhh and i'm 68, 69 kg now, i'll rather not put 70 cause that makes me sound fat, but i was 58 in bmt, so that's cool
this week will be a really short week so no one can spoil my mood, even if you spam my inbox with hate smses
but those that don't like me won't have my new phone number ahahaha tricky.com
i'm way too high today, see la watch late night movies with the guys
saturday is maf, pvps and catching up with everyone, been so busy and tired everyday lately
sorry i always fall asleep on the phone <3
and my pay will bump up to 800++

so I'm going to the air force school, i should be over the moon cause it's suppose to be slack and it's stay out throughout the course
but i hope it's something i can be proud of, something i can add to my list of accomplishments
if i wanted an easy life and just get through my two years liability, i wouldn't have chionged all the way here, and attended every single thing that has come my way
i wanted to stay at kilo coy, with the infantry, with my warrent officer who has been a great inspiration
find me a warren officer that comes into our bunks and talks crap with us, and is always the first to come and last to leave
i'll remember one sentence he mentioned at the start of the course
" treat your men well, and when the time comes, they'll be there for you"
i sure as hell understand that now, because when that time comes,
i'll do anything for him
